Neville: Return Against Liverpool

Mirror: Ferguson revealed that Neville will make his comeback in a reserve game against Liverpool on Thursday and claims his skipper is finally free of injury.

The England defender has been plagued by a succession of problems since damaging ankle ligaments against Bolton way back in March.

“The plan is to play him in the reserves game against Liverpool next Thursday,” said Ferguson. “His training is coming along fine. He’s improving all the time.

“He’s over his last injury and has been training now for over two weeks. He just needs games now, hopefully starting next Thursday.”
