United’s Dodgy Grub
Sun: MANCHESTER United serves up the WORST footie food in Europe, says a survey.
Yet the 76,000 capacity Old Trafford stadium was rated as the BEST “overall experience”.
In the grub stakes, Glasgow clubs Rangers and Celtic had the next most disliked meals, followed by Tottenham and Chelsea.
Arsenal’s Emirates Stadium was the top culinary experience, along with Barcelona while Delia Smith’s Norwich was third.
Scottish battlers Kilmarnock were in fourth place and Wigan fifth.
United fans would have felt sick enough last night after their team lost 2-0 to Coventry in the Carling Cup.
But supporter Paul Simms, of Salford, said: “The grub is terrible. It’s always half cold and overpriced.”
A United spokesman said: “We like to think we serve up the right ingredients on and off the pitch.”
Liverpool’s Anfield was voted as having the best atmosphere of any stadium in Europe.
Tottenham’s White Hart Lane has the worst public transport access, according to the online poll of more than 1,100 season ticket holders who could not vote for their own team.
