SAF: Attacked At Euston

Sun: MANCHESTER United manager Sir Alex Ferguson was repeatedly kicked in the shins by a man at a railway station, it was alleged yesterday.

The Red Devils boss was not badly hurt and his attacker was arrested by British Transport Police.

A policeman who ran to his aid was also said to have been attacked.

A 40-year-old man was arrested on the concourse of Euston station in central London.

A British Transport Police spokesman yesterday said: “We can confirm that one of the victims was Sir Alex Ferguson and he received injuries to his leg.

“The other victim was a police officer.”

Fergie, 65, was not believed to have been badly hurt and later attended a charity function in London to raise cash for relatives of 9/11 victims.

The man was charged with one count of ABH, one count of common assault and one public order offence.

He is due to appear in front of London magistrates today.

I think it is a disgrace that Sir Alex has to go down to London to do charity work only to get a kicking. The southern softies wouldn’t have it in them to come up here and try that. Sir Alex deserves better. We should have arranged a good kiccking for him when he arrived amd Manchester Piccadilly

To quote the Online Gooner, I can’t believe it happened in the heartland of Utd’s support.

    :-/

Seriously though, can’t agree with the kicking of a 65 year old no matter who he is. Glad it wasn’t more serious.
