Heinze: Fergie’s Olive Branch …

Sun: SIR ALEX FERGUSON claims Gabriel Heinze still has a future at Manchester United.

Heinze wants to secure a move to arch-rivals Liverpool and has called in the Premier League to decide his future.

The Argentina international is determined to ensure United do not go back on a signed agreement stipulating he could leave if a club bid £6.8million for his services. But the Premier League champs are unwilling to do business with Liverpool — despite them meeting the asking price for the 29-year-old.

Ferguson said: “Nothing has moved as far as Heinze is concerned.

“We have a meeting on August 20 which will settle the issue once and for all.

“We think our case is strong and we are depending on that.

“And, if it goes our way, Gaby definitely has a future here. He still has another two years left on his contract.”
