Gossip: Tevez Set To Disappoint Fergie …
Striker Carlos Tevez will not be joining United after admitting that he wants to play in Italy.
Press reports earlier this month proposed the Argentine as yet another name on Sir Alex’s shopping list of forwards. United were believed to have offered an initial loan deal which would be made into a permanent £12 million contract after one year.
The arrangement seemed unlikely and has now been made irrelevant by the 23 year old West Ham attacker’s ambition to join Inter Milan.
“There is a very good chance I will be playing in Italy next season,” he said in today’s Sun newspaper. “I am also wanted by Real Madrid and some other clubs in England but I have already made my decision and I prefer Inter.
“My agent knows how I feel and hopefully he can sort something out.”
According to the Sun, the Tevez deal could cost the Italian giant £20million.
