Heinze: Barcelona Switch? …
Sky: Gabriel Heinze admits he would consider joining Barcelona, but will not rush into a decision on his Manchester United future.
The Argentina defender has been strongly linked with a summer exit from Old Trafford, with Real Madrid and Juventus also keen.
Heinze is currently preparing for the Copa America and will not reach a decision on his future until after the tournament.
But the former Paris Saint Germain stopper concedes he would give serious thought to any offer to link up with Barcelona.
“I know that some clubs are interested in me, but I have decided to leave this subject on stand-by for the moment,” Heinze told the Sunday Mirror.
“My head is with the Argentina team to play the Copa America. After that tournament I will make decisions about my career.
“Barcelona is a super-club, like Manchester United. If a formal offer is tabled I’ll need to study it calmly.
“Nobody at United has told me I’m not wanted next season. I know the rumours of transfer offers have appeared, but that’s not a problem for me.
“I have just enjoyed one of the best years in my career. We have played sensationally, although it was a pain to fail in the Champions League semi-final against Milan.”
