Sun: ALEX FERGUSON has been dealt a Premiership title blow — by bitter rivals Manchester City. Fergie asked Manchester United’s neighbours to delay their derby clash 24 hours to Sunday May 6.
He wanted more time for his players to recover from the second leg of their Champions League semi-final in Milan on the Wednesday.
Stuart Pearce’s side are safe from relegation — but feared United might win the title in their stadium. They rejected Fergie’s request and the game goes ahead on the Saturday with a lunchtime kick-off.

Sun: WAYNE ROONEY upstaged Brazil ace Kaka with a Champions League wonder goal.
The England striker drilled a dramatic 90th-minute cracker to give Manchester United a semi-final first-leg triumph at Old Trafford.
Roon said: “It was a great feeling to score right in the last minute. I hope now that it will prove to be the most important goal of my career.”
Cristiano Ronaldo put United ahead but Kaka’s double gave AC a 2-1 half-time lead. Rooney put the Red Devils level, then did the business at the end.
He said: “To be 2-1 behind against a top Italian side and run out 3-2 winners was fantastic. At half-time, the manager told us to just keep going right to the end and we would get our goals. That’s what happened.
“We know it is going to be tough over in Milan in the second leg. But if we keep our concentration, hopefully we can get the result.”
United boss Alex Ferguson said: “Wayne’s winner was an incredible first-time hit, a brilliant goal. We need players to reach those heights. The equaliser gave us the incentive to go on and win.
“There was only one winner after that. Wayne’s winner has given us a magnificent chance. We are in front now and Milan know they have a difficult game on their hands.
“At 2-1 down to a team of that standard, it was difficult but I told the players to keep playing with speed. From a neutral point of view, it was fantastic to watch.
“And the way we played and came back proves we have the quality to win this tournament. I think, given the speed of our team, we will score over there too. I don’t know whether it’ll be enough but I’m looking forward to it.”
