Independent: Sir Alex Ferguson disclosed this week that the left-back berth is the one he is most likely to fill in the transfer window but the right-back position seems more of a cause for concern as it emerged yesterday that Gary Neville has broken down yet again in his prolonged attempts to recover from an ankle injury and Wes Brown, his cover, has not yet accepted a new contract – much to the manager’s displeasure.
