Tevez: Long Term Deal In Place
Sky: Sir Alex Ferguson has confirmed that he plans to extend Carlos Tevez’s Manchester United stay.
The tireless forward has established himself as a United favourite since making the switch from West Ham United, but his existing loan contract expires at the end of next season.
However, Ferguson has revealed that chief executive David Gill has been in talks with the 23-year-old’s agent Kia Joorabchian, and a ‘cheap’ fee is in place.
“There is no question about his long-term future here. David Gill has spoken to his agent and told him we are very happy with him,” he said.
“The fee is in place. I won’t tell you what it is but it is still cheap. I want to make his happen. He has impressed everyone with his appetite for the game.
“He’ll get me 15 goals this season and what’s more they will be important goals.”
